If you have recently signed up with us and have selected assisted transfer during the signup process, please fill in the following details to help us migrate your website over. The more information provided, the quicker we can migrate your website over. You may need to contact your current provider for some information.

Please let us know your current provider's details. If they have any control panel (such as cPanel or Plesk), please include those details too.

If your provider cannot supply this info to you, please request your current provider to take a backup copy of the website and upload it to a file-sharing site (such as Dropbox, Wetransfer or Onedrive) and email you the link so we can download your site onto our platform.

WordPress details

If you are running WordPress, please let us know your current WordPress login details. Your current log in details must have administration access so we can install a migration plugin.

Please Note: If cpanel details have been provided (in the previous screen), it is not necessary to supply this information, however, the more details we have, the eaiser it will be for us to migrate your website.

Complete this section only if you’re transferring your domain to Perth Web Hosting. We need your domain password (also called an authorisation code) to complete the transfer.

For a .au domain, request the password through auDA’s domain password recovery service. For other domains, check your current registrar’s online account or contact their support team.

The registrant email address must be one you can access. If it isn’t, update it through your current registrar before requesting the transfer. We can’t transfer the domain until you can access the registrant email account.

Website migration

Assisted migrations are charged at $129 per hour, including GST. Most take 1–2 hours. If extra work is needed, we’ll discuss the estimated time and cost with you first. After-hours migrations are charged at a higher rate.

As part of the migration, we’ll update outdated WordPress core software and plugins. Renewals for paid plugins or themes aren’t included, but we’ll let you know if any are needed.

You can migrate your website yourself or use a third party at no charge from us. We can provide basic help if you run into issues, or complete the migration at the rate above.

To avoid delays, please provide correct login details with administrator access. If we need to contact your previous provider, our time will be charged. If they can’t provide access, ask them for a cPanel or WordPress backup and have it shared with you through OneDrive or Dropbox.
