One thing to know

Basic email runs on a hosting account (cPanel). If you host your website with us on a cPanel plan, your email sits alongside it. If you only need email and no website, we’ll set up a small hosting account to run it, just ask and we’ll sort it.

Basic email or Microsoft 365?

Basic email is right if

You mostly send and receive email, you want one flat price for the team, and you don’t need shared calendars or the Office apps. It just works, on any device.

Microsoft 365 is right if

Your team shares calendars and contacts, you want bigger mailboxes, or you use Word, Excel and Teams. Priced per mailbox, so you only pay for who needs it.

Basic email questions.

IMAP keeps your email on the server, so your inbox, folders and read messages stay in sync on every device. POP3 downloads email to one device and usually removes it from the server.

For most teams IMAP is the better choice. Both are included.

You can enforce a soft quota limit on each mailbox so you don’t have a single user filling all your disk usage, or you can set the mailbox to have no soft limit. However, once your total disk usage, you will stop receiving emails. If your team needs more, give us a call on 08 6365 4522 and we’ll find the right setup.

If you already have a website and you want your website hosted with us, you don’t need this plan as our normal web hosting plans already include email hosting. You only require this plan where you have your website with another provider or you don’t require a website.

Yes. IMAP and POP3 work with Outlook, Apple Mail and the mail apps on Android and Apple devices, and there’s secure webmail too.

Yes, your email address will be exactly the same. You do not need to change your email address.

Unfortunately not. Your email address must remain on the ISP’s server. Sometimes providers may have the ability to forward email to an external address. Please ensure you check with your provider if they can offer this service. But we cannot host email addresses where the domain name is owned by an Internet Service Provider.

Yes, you must register your own domain name before this service can work for you. You must have the ability to control the nameservers and alter the MX records. To register your own domain, click here.

Does every plan include spam filtering?

Yes. Every plan includes SpamExperts Premium Spam Filtering, which filters spam and scans for viruses and malware. You can manage your settings through an easy-to-use portal and receive daily reports showing emails blocked in the past 24 hours.
